The event started in 2010, and consists of various music, family, food, fashion and art programs.[4] In 2014, over 150,000 people attended the festival, making it one of Perth's largest street festivals.[1]
In 2016 organisers from the Beaufort Street Network announced the festival would "take a break" for now and they'd instead focus on a number of smaller events throughout the year rather than one big bash.[5]
