The startup was established in February 2015, and originally launched in English, Spanish and Portuguese.[4]

In August 2016 beBee was selected by Mind the Bridge and EIT Digital to participate in the "Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley" program for future European startup unicorns to engage with main US industry players for sales, funding and collaboration opportunities in order to rapidly scale up on the other side of the Atlantic.[5] With over 11 million global users, beBee has seen substantial market growth and has been praised for its diversity as an American and Spanish multi-cultural venture.[6]

beBee.com offers the ability to network with like-minded professionals, create content as a blogger or writer in various subject matters of interest or expertise, and search for job postings that have been posted by beBee.com recruiters, and jobs that are found available via classified listings from other major sources.[7]

Concept

Bees (users) can share and create content in one or more hives (groups), that are related to their professional or personal interests and allows for a new type of professional social networking.[8]
