Battle of Ramadi (2013–2014)
The Battle of Ramadi was a battle in the city of Ramadi in western Iraq that took place from December 2013 to March 2014, in which the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and allied Sunni tribesmen captured parts of the city before being ousted by government forces.[2][1] It was one of the first battles of the War in Iraq and was a part of the Anbar campaign.
