Notes
- Clausel's 1st Division and Saint-Croix's cavalry were maintaining the French lines of communication (Lipscombe, p.207)
- Montbrun was in command of all the reserve cavalry, although GB Lepic insisted on referring all Montbrun's orders to Bessières for confirmation (Glover, p.153)
- 2nd Foot detached at the blockade of Almeida (Glover, p378)
