History
The company was founded in 2002 in Los Angeles, California by Mike Osborn and Ron Penna.[3] Originally, the company developed technology that monitored electronic transmissions for uses of counter-terrorism.[4]
In 2010 a group headed by Brad Miller (former CEO of Perimeter eSecurity[5]) and First New England Capital invested $6.5 million.[6] In 2012, the company headquarters was relocated from Marina del Rey, California to Westport, Connecticut.
In 2014 Awareness Technologies joined an alliance with Credit Union National Association as part of "CUNA Strategic Services."[7][8]

InterGuard - Employee monitoring, web content filtering, keystroke logging, data loss prevention and laptop theft recovery software as a service suite.[9]
WebWatcher for PC and WebWatcher for MAC - Parental control monitoring, keystroke logging, and web content filtering software.
WebWatcher Mobile for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry - Cell phone monitoring software.
Laptop Cop - Remote file retrieval & deletion and geolocation software.
Awards/Distinctions
WebWatcher received the PC Magazine editors’ choice award in a 2011 review of Parental Control & Monitoring software.[10] Also, About.com readers named WebWatcher as the “Best Internet Safety Tool” as part of its 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards.[11]
Users
Awareness Technologies products under the InterGuard software suite are used by financial services and health care organizations.[12] InterGuard gives administrators the ability to monitor activities of remote employees who work off of the corporate domain.[12]
