Avenue Beat

Avenue Beat is a music group from Quincy, Illinois, made up of Sami Bearden, Savana Santos and Sam Backoff. Backoff and Santos were friends growing up and met Bearden at a theater camp in high school. The trio then started traveling back and forth to Nashville where they are now based.[1] The group is signed to The Valory Music Co./Tape Room Records.[2]

Career

Avenue Beat debuted with their self-titled EP released on July 26, 2019, with "Ruin That for Me" being the main track.[3] The EP was co-produced by lead singer Savana Santos, producer and songwriter David Garcia, and songwriter Ashley Gorley.[2]

Named an "Artist to Watch" by Sounds Like Nashville, Taste of Country, The Boot, NYCountry Swag and more—the trio was also selected as a MusicRow 2020 "Next Big Thing", Music Choice "Country Rising 20", and CMT "Listen Up" 2020 Artist, and joined CMT's Next Women of Country Class of 2020.

"I Don't Really Like Your Boyfriend" was released on May 22, 2020, and entered Spotify's US Top 50 Viral Chart in June 2020.

Avenue Beat's TikTok video "Lowkey Fuck 2020" went viral on the platform reaching over 11 million views, prompting the band to make an entire song with new verses, titled "F2020" which they would later release as a single.[4] Celebrities such as Perez Hilton used the song for their own TikTok dances. The song also saw social media support from Fadia Kader (Head of Music on Instagram), Matthew Panzarino (EIC TechCrunch), Sara Bareilles, CMT, Scooter Braun, Maren Morris, Naya Rivera, Will Smith, and more. The song officially released on July 10, 2020.[4]
