and taught at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and in the United Kingdom. He creates works that improvise form and color and are speak to uniquely Ghanaian architecture and African strip-woven textiles, including kente, the Ewe and Asante of Ghana.

Kwami's work has been exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York,[3] National Museum of African Art,[4] National Museum of Ghana, National Museum of Kenya, Victoria and Albert Museum,[5] the World Museum,[6] and the British Museum.[7]
