Arturo López

Javier Arturo López (born Feb. 22, 1983) is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher with the Diablos Rojos del México of the Mexican League. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres in 2009.

Career

López made his minor league debut in 2001 in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. From 2001 to 2008 in the minors, Lopez had a 38–39 record with a 5.15 ERA.

López made his major league debut on April 29, 2009, against the Colorado Rockies.

The New York Mets designated López for assignment on Feb. 22, 2010, but he cleared waivers and returned to the Mets camp as a non-roster invitee.

López signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres on January 29, 2013.

On March 24, 2013, López was loaned to the Diablos Rojos del Mexico of the Mexican League, the team with whom he played for in 2011. On March 29, 2014, López re-signed with the Diablos. On February 12, 2018, López was traded to the Guerreros de Oaxaca alongside Carlos Morales, Filiberto Baez, Javier Rodriguez, Jose Augusto Figueroa, and Luis Alfonso Garcia. On July 4, 2018, López was re-assigned to the Diablos.[1]
