Arthur Johnson (basketball)
Arthur Dock Johnson (born December 20, 1982 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American basketball player.
A graduate of Pershing High School in Detroit, Johnson played four seasons at the University of Missouri before declaring for the 2004 NBA Draft. an American professional basketball player. Since 2004, he has played for numerous teams in both the NBA and overseas. Johnson was undrafted following a career at Missouri Where Appeared in 132 games and averaged 13.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 blocks during his four-year career at the University of Missouri…Earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors during his junior and senior seasons…Became the Tigers all-time leader with 1,083 rebounds and 245 blocked shots…Ranked fifth all-time with 1,759 points and became the first player in school history to lead the team in total rebounds four straight seasons…Recorded 44 career double-doubles and is only the second player in Big 12 history to register 1,700 points, 1,000 rebounds and 200 blocks (Nick Collision of Kansas was the first)…Averaged 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks as a senior and 16.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks as a junior…Named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team and earned Honorable Mention Big 12 as a sophomore…Was the first freshman to lead the Tigers in rebounding with 257 (7.8 rpg)..,He began his professional career signing prior to the start of the 2004-05 National Basketball Association season as a free agent with the Denver Nugget before being waived and then signing with Aris Thessaloniki
