Armando Marenzi

Armando Marenzi (born 16 March 1966) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player.

Club career

He started his career in HNK Šibenik, where he played for 25 years (including youth career). In summer 1988 he moved to FK Spartak Subotica where he made his debut in the Yugoslav First League, however during winter break he returned to Šibenik playing back then in the Second League all the way until 1992 when the club became part of the newly formed Croatian First League. 1992 he goes to France's Ligue 2, playing two years for Club Olympique Avignonnais after what he goes in the Greek second division with Panargiakos F.C.. during the 1994–96 season. In 1996. he goes to play Greek first division for Panserraikos F.C..

At the age of 32, he is returning to his hometown club to play Prva HNL. In December 2001 he moved to Zrinjski. Armando Marenzi played all his time in Zrinjski for his excellent play for the nobleman, and with his experience, he helped youngsters who played at that time in Zrinjsko. As a true leader, Captain Zrinjski helped his teammates in every respect. In the seasons 2001/2002. and 2002/2003. was the best shooter of the club. The fans were more than correct and often praised Ultrase on radio and on television. This brought him the trophy "Filip Šunjić - Pipa" of the best player of Zrinjski in the season 2002/2003. Prime Minister of BiH. The best player of the season was then called "Zrinjevac", and Marenzi was awarded to him by the distinguished Ultras member, Filip Šunjić-Pipa. "Pipa" was tragically killed in December 2003, and in 2004 the trophy Zrinjevac was renamed "Filip Šunjić - Pipa" trophy. During the playing in Zrinjski's jersey, from fans and sympathizers of that Mostar club, he was given the nickname "heavenly jumper".

After finishing his playing career, he committed himself to a managerial career. He has UEFA A coaching license. His big wish is that one day he becomes manager of HNK Šibenik and HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, two clubs where he spent his playing career.[1]

Managerial career

Hajduk Split

Armando was hired by Hajduk Split in August 2011 to be the manager of U-11. In December 2012, he was trainer U15, then 2015 U19 and 2016. he became the first-team assistant Coach to Hari Vukas. For 4 years he was a trainer at Hajduk Split.

RNK Split

In April 2018 he was named the manager of Croatian Second League team RNK Split.
