Anurag Kulkarni
Anurag Kulkarni is an Indian playback singer from Hyderabad,[1] who recently made his debut in Tollywood. He hails from Basar,Niramal,Telangana but settled in Hyderabad. His father is from Marathi community and mother is from a Telugu family from Kamareddy .He got into fame after winning first prize in popular Telugu reality singing show, Idea Super Singer Season 8 (2015) on MAA TV (now Star Maa).

Career
Kulkarni started learning Hindustani classical music with late Sri. Kakunoori jangaiah ji, a renowned Hindustani vocalist and guru in Hyderabad. He was trained in kirana gharana style of singing.
On 24 January 2015, he won one of the biggesttelugu reality singing shows, Idea Super Singer Season 8. The chief judges for this show were shri M. M. Keeravani and Padma Shri K. S. Chitra.[2] The show also featured many Telugu/Tollywood musicians as guest judges.
After completing B.Tech in Computer Science, Hyderabad, he worked for a software multinational company for seven months. He left the job in October 2015 to pursue his interest in music.
Currently he is a playback singer in Tollywood and Telugu Music Industry.
Achievements
- Runner-up of Gemini TV’s singing reality show Bol Baby Bol Gurukul in 2014.[3]
- Won competition held at Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh and received scholarship from padma vibhushan shri Pandit Jasraj on 1 December 2013 at Chowmahalla Palace, Hyderabad and performed in the samaroh's evening concert.
- Performed at the great historic place, "Salar Jung Museum" in a concert named "Taskeen" and felicitated as outstanding emerging sufi singer by an N.G.O named "Young", a youth organization.
- Runner-up of the competition "Idea Rocks India" Held by Idea cellular and was a Part of the concert of "Shankar Ehsaan Loy", the H music trio.
- Won a competition Held at Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh on 1 December 2012 at Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Hyderabad and performed in the samaroh's evening concert.
- Took part in Telugu Cinema Vajrothsavalu (The 75th year/Diamond jubilee celebrations of Tollywood) with the troupe of 'Little musicians academy’, Hyderabad.
- Participated and reached to top 9 in a Telugu reality-singing show of ETV named Saptaswaralu in 2008.
- Won the SIIMA Award for Best Male Playback Singer (Telugu) for the song ''Pillaa Raa'' from RX 100 at 8th South Indian International Movie Awards in 2019.
- Nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu in 65th Filmfare Awards South 2018.[4]
- Won the Best Playback Singer- Male award at Zee Cine Awards Telugu 2018 for the songs ''Pillaa Raa'' from RX 100 and ''Mahanati'' from Mahanati in 2018.
- Won the Best Male Playback Singer for the song "Pillaa Raa" from RX 100 at 17th Santosham Film Awards in 2019
