Antonia of Florence
Antonia of Florence was an Italian saint. She was born in Florence in 1402. She entered the convent of Third Order of Saint Francis after her husband died in 1428. A few years later, Antonia became the superior in Foligno. She then established a monastery in L'Aquila. Antonia died in 1472. Many miracles occurred at her tomb and her body has remained incorrupt, with her eyes still open. She was beatified by Pope Pius IX.[1]
