Ampang Jaya Municipal Council
Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya or Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) is a local authority which administers Ampang, Ulu Klang and other areas. This agency is under the Selangor state government. MPAJ is responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development and general maintenance of urban infrastructure. The MPAJ main headquarters is located at Pandan Indah.

History
This agency was founded on 1 July 1992, by combining the sub-districts (Mukim) of Ulu Klang and Ampang from the Gombak District Council (Majlis Daerah Gombak, MDG) and Hulu Langat District Council (Majlis Daerah Hulu Langat, MDHL) respectively.
