Alan Fleischmann

Alan H. Fleischmann is the Founder, Chairman & CEO of Laurel Strategies, Inc. Fleischmann is a professional with international and domestic experience in the public, private, and civil society sectors, and an expert in strategy, communications, negotiation, crisis & reputation management, finance, public policy, and trade investment. He has been a confidential advisor to Fortune 100 CEOs, top investors, and leaders. Fleischmann is also a speaker and writer about CEO statesmanship.[1]

Biography

Fleischmann was awarded an M.A. with honors from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where he serves on its board. He received a B.A. and B.S. with honors from American University.[3]

Previously, Fleischmann was a principal, partner, and board member of Albright Stonebridge Group.[4]

Fleischmann co-founded ImagineNations Group.[5]

Fleischmann was a member of the Obama Presidential Transition from 2008 to 2009,[6] and was a member of the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars.[7] He was an Advisory Board Member of the United States Export-Import Bank.[8]

In September 2010, Fleischmann announced at the Clinton Global Initiative with Yahoo! founder Jerry Yang a commitment to expand the ImagineNations Network worldwide.[9][10][11] ImagineNations is a founding member of Partners for a New Beginning.[12]

Fleischmann is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a board member of the Atlantic Council.[13] He serves as a trustee of the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation. In addition, Fleischmann serves on the board of the American Council on Germany (ACG,[14] the Cal Ripken Foundation,[15] and the Just Capital Foundation.[16] Fleischmann serves on the Board of Directors of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Emergency Medical Center.[17]

Fleischmann is a board member of the Phillips Collection arts museum, an Advisory Director on the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Hall, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Washington National Opera at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts[18] and a member of the Board of Trustees of Morehouse College.[19]
