Acuerdos del extinguido Cabildo de Buenos Aires is a series of books that contain the transcripts of the historical records of the Buenos Aires Cabildo. It was initially transcribed by the initiative of the Mayor of Buenos Aires Torcuato de Alvear,[1] and then by the National Government that ordered the authorities of the General Archive of the Argentine Nation to complete the work.[2]

This collection begins with the records of the actas capitulares (government minutes) of the Buenos Aires Cabildo that cover the years 1589 to 1591 and 1605 to 1607.[3] In total it consists of four series of various volumes, the first of which covers the Habsburg period, continuing from the second series with the period of the Bourbons. Series IV covers the end of the colonial period and the first years of the Argentine Emancipatory stage.[4]
