The wingspan is about 17 mm.
The larvae feed on Corylus sieboldiana var. mandshurica, Corylus heterophylla, Fraxinus manschuria, Betula platyphylla, Carpinus (including Carpinus japonica, Carpinus cordata, Carpinus manschurica) and Quercus species.[2][3]
