AN/PEQ-1 SOFLAM
The AN/PEQ-1 also known as a Special Operations Forces Laser Acquisition Marker (SOFLAM or SOF-LAM) is a U.S. military laser designator designed for use by special operations forces, under more rugged field conditions.[1]

History
The AN/PEQ-1 was first used in combat in the War in Afghanistan and the Iraq War.

Per the manufacturers' specifications,[1] the AN/PEQ-1 has the following characteristics:
- Weight 11.3 lb (5.2 kg)
- Ranging range up to 20 km
- Target designation range over 10 km
- Laser type: NdYag, 1064 nm
