8:08 Er Bongaon Local
8:08 Er Bongaon Local is a Bengali social drama film directed by Debaditya Bandyopadhyay and produced by Torun Routh. This film was released on 27 April 2012 under the banner of Unimass Entertainment.[1][2] This movie was based on an infamous incident of eve teasing and murder at Barasat, North 24 Parganas in 2011.[3][4]
Plot
Middle class common man Ananta Das is a daily passenger of 8:08 A.M Bongaon Local. He realises in his regular journey towards Kolkata that people stopped protesting against any form of injustice due to fear or depression. Ananta is also becomes spineless like others. But an incident shocks him and changes his mind totally. One day a student was killed by goons for protesting the eve teasing of his elder sister. Ananta bursts out with anger and protests against every wrong deed of surroundings.
