2021 IIHF Women's World Championship
The 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship is an international ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation and scheduled to be contested in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada during 7 to 17 April 2021.[1][2] Ten national women's ice hockey teams will participate. In the preliminary round, the teams will be split into two groups of five teams and each team will play a single round-robin within their group, ie. they will play every other team in the group once.

No divisional promotion and relegation occurred after the Top Division tournament and both Division I tournaments in 2020 were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3][4]

Rosters
Each team's roster must comprise a minimum of fifteen skaters (forwards, and defencemen) and two goaltenders, and cannot exceed twenty skaters and three goaltenders. All ten participating nations, through the confirmation of their respective national associations, are required to submit a "Long List" roster no later than two weeks before the tournament begins.
