Laura Golarsa and Katarina Srebotnik were the defending champions, but none competed this year. Golarsa was injured and couldn't play in the entire season,[1] while Srebotnik competed in the Fed Cup at the same week.

I would have felt a bit strange if I was any younger. Kim and I won the doubles title at Antwerp together in 2000 but there’s an age gap between me and her and Justine.
