Özlem Gezer

Özlem Gezer (born 29 November 1991) is a Turkish women's football goalkeeper currently playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Fatih Vatan Spor in Istanbul with jersey number 1. She was member of the Turkey U-17 and Turkey U-19 teams.[1]

Playing career

Club

Gezer obtained her license from her home town club Kdz. Ereğlispor on 5 May 2006. She appeared in eight matches with her club in the Second League season of 2008–09. In the 2009–10 season, she moved to Istanbul and joined Çamlıca Spor, where she played in the |Regional League and then in the |Second League. After two and half seasons, she returned to her team Kdz. Ereğlispor in the second half of the |2011–12 season to play in the Turkish Women's First Football League. In the 2012–13 First League season, she joined Lüleburgaz 39 Spor. The next season, she was transferred by the Istanbul-based club Fatih Vatan Spor. She enjoyed with her team the promotion from the |Third League to the Second League, and then to the First League.[1]

In the 2018–19, Gezer was appointed team captain.

International

Gezer was admitted to the Turkey girls' U-17 team,[2] and played at the 2008 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualification – Group 6 match against Moldova on 24 October 2007.[1]

Between 2008 and 2010, she was a member of the Turkey national U-19 team.[3] She played in four matches of the 2009 Kuban Spring Tournament and played in two matches of the 2010 UEFA Women's U-19 Championship First qualifying round – Group 7. She capped in total nine times for the Turkey women's U-19 team.[1]
