Östra Småland

Östra Småland, also known as Östran, is a local newspaper based in Kalmar, Sweden.

History and profile

Östra Småland was started in 1928.[1][2] The paper is owned by the Swedish Social Democratic Party.[3] It is published by Östra Småland AB, a subsidiary of Gota Media AB.[4][5] The paper has a social democratic political stance.[6] It is published in tabloid format.[7]

In the second half of the 1950s Östra Småland enjoyed higher levels of circulation.[1]
